Just watched Tenet was a pretty good movie. Definitely confusing, and horrific. Not in any normal horror way but the entire premise is ridiculous. Scary to think the future can destroy the past.

Decent day today got some of my other unrelated photo and data entry work done. Didn't work on the site today. Too bad I only used 20% of my Claude usage the other day they reset the limits for everyone. Doubt that will happen again anytime soon. I wonder why they did that.

The rest of the post today is my draft on my explanation of time travel. Tenet is a really great movie there's another hundred hours you could extrapolate from it. Maybe I'll use AI to add some math to the draft

Watched Tenet AGAIN to understand how time travel could actually work. It can't in the way people assume, unless their default assumption is the parallel worlds hypothesis. Travelling back in time would spin up a copy of that universe at the time you go back to. It's not same place and time it's a perfect copy of that place in time. Like copying a file on your computer. They are the same file, but there are now too files, stored in different locations on the machine of the universe. You can't store a file and the copy of the file in the same spot inside a 3d universe. Higher dimensional interpretations of that assertion I have absolutely no idea.

The only truth I can extrapolate is that higher dimensions are exponentially larger than the three‑dimensional space we experience.

Some interpretations describe these higher dimensions as being folded into each other. People often assume that this folding makes them “small,” and in one sense it does — the folded dimensions become so compact that no one can perceive them directly. A higher dimension can be vast in its full, unfolded state, yet appear microscopic when wrapped into a tight loop or curled into a complex manifold. The dimension doesn’t lose its size; consider a paper folded X times. As you approach infinity that paper would be getting pretty big.

But even when folded, the full structure of those dimensions still exists. They’re not small in the sense of having less geometry or less extent; they’re small only in the sense that their accessible scale collapses. The dimension remains vast, but its unfolded size is hidden inside a compact form. Inconceivably, these dimensional folds are both the biggest structures in the universe as well as small enough to be indistinguishable from cosmic background radiation. They're actually really big and likely only appear small to us due to the physical laws of consensus reality.

In a way, we’re living inside a shadow of a much larger space. The folds are what keep that larger space from overwhelming our experience. They compress the complexity of higher dimensions into a form that fits inside the narrow bandwidth of human perception. But the full structure is still there, waiting behind the fold.

if you travel to the past it will function identical and for all intensive purposes be exactly how the past was, but going back to YOUR future there would be no changes, instead you would travel forward in time to the future of the new past dimension. Maybe you could also go back to your original future but as I've explained nothing would be changed. You can't change those events because those already happened. They don't exist anymore only enough evidence to reconstruct the conditions that happened right before that moment you travel back to. You can only make it look like you can, by travelling to new realities. These realities are either created (generated) from the act of travelling or are already programmed to exist, like the everything everywhere all at once theory.

You can't change light from the sun until you're at the spot it touches you, and when you do change it, you bounce it in another direction continuing a brand new timeline, or you absorb and dissipate it into heat death. Just like how light from the sun hits objects and scatters in nearly infinite directions, timelines do that as well; they impact and scatter, even occasionally end.

Higher dimensions would have no conceivable limit on how many of these alternate realities it could contain.

our reality could actually be a reality at the mercy of time travel (it's a reality generated from X amount of time travelers) .Everything will happen that way because it has already happened. In the movie every timeline that would have resulted in the end of the world may have played out in its own reality. Our reality will not gain or lose any time travelling entities. Since by time travelling they have already locked in the amount of temporal interference, as inference seals fate. AKA the possibility of knowledge of future events results in a complete erasure of randomness. There is now one outcome for every decision.

That doesn't mean anything about freewill, as consciousness is likely to transcend all of this. Again like everything everywhere all at once. Even though by making a decisions you can't change this reality, you can shift dimensions into the reality you already made that choice. These frame changes or dimension shifts would be incredibly fast like every nano second, or at the speed of light or something.
