School is too performative now. It's not about actual education or preparing you for a job, besides the obvious majors and degree paths that actually you. Going into this it's unfair to not mention that many degree paths actually do prepare you for a job and are worth the rising price of tuition.

There are too many to list but nursing, dentistry, agricultural or other trade skills like plumbing and construction. Many of our institutions of around the country, probably most of them do effectively teach and prepare students for those jobs

but let's look at med school. I and I think many people would agree with me I think we need more doctors. Unfortunately, med schools in the US (which are required to attend in order to practice medicine) artificially limit how many new medical students can become doctors.

School has been such a waste 90% of the important stuff I taught myself outside of school and for 80% of the classes 80% of the students will remember only 80% of the content. Honestly that's probably a high estimate, after 1 year I don't like 90% of the class will remember even a small fraction of most of their classes. Maybe 2 or 3 classes were important, the rest is just goyslop idek.

I guess it's likely they were able to get away with it for this long, it hasn't even been that long. This is a relatively recent problem that has only gotten worse in the past couple decades. No one is really holding them to any known standard and if anything they get carried over preconceived outdated notions and the aura of heretical prestige.

I haven't even mentioned the rising cost of tuition.

It was one thing we you had to actually go places to learn. I was talking to my cousin about this, he had to actually read books 😂😂😂. Well I read all the time, and I NEVER read a book if I don't have to. It's not economical in terms of eye strain when I can crank out 12 audio books in a month. Maybe an E-ink screen would help with that. Ideally the way to completely optimize this would be to read the subtitles to the audio book at some high, nigh incomprehensible speed. I've been listening on 2.5x speed for long i was taking literal psychic damage listening to my dad's dogshit audible book on normal speed. I had to lock in and adjust my body's internal chemistry to slog through that one.

Anyways why when knowledge is more accessible than it has ever been, and with how many schools are either negligent or behind the curve when it comes to keeping up with the industry (obviously top schools with groundbreaking research are keeping up I'm not including those), I should be able to choose what I learn instead of suffering at the hands of some school board.

I've almost crashed out in school some of the classes that cost 1000 (cheapest classes are 800/1300 depending on your status) are absolute dog shit slop worse than what a 2024 AI could tell you in one chat. Like the whole class is like 3 ai chats on a monday it's crazy they got people paying 1000 dollars for that. Imagine at a bigger school that's also just as shitty that would be like 4000 or something holy shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. It's like they got a monopoly on trapping millennials with no money with 6 figures of debt they can never get rid of or something. Literally there's no one else who loans to young people with no money like that 😂😂😂.
