Week Review: Automation Routines, Local Model Evals, and Tooling Experiments
2026-10-20
Automated Workspace Maintenance & Archival Routines
Keeping development staging areas and communication channels uncluttered required two systematic sweeps (executed on October 11 and October 18):
Structured Email Ingestion to Google Keep: Automated queries filtered incoming email activity, logging high-signal items into Keep notes organized cleanly by academic, professional, and financial priorities.
V-Ultra : YouTube Script work, added controller support to YouTube lol you get to be the camera man in real time.
Local Model Evaluation & Benchmarks
On the local machine, testing moved into heavier compute runs:
Evaluating Large Open Weights: Set up and monitored benchmark runs using the
hard-evals-gpt-oss-120btest suite to check local reasoning capability, latency tradeoffs, and throughput ceilings under stress.Scripted Logic Tests: Quick sandbox testing in Python for structured data parsing and variable handling logic.
Agentic Tooling & Desktop Integration
Exploration wrapped around recent desktop agent enhancements and pipeline cost control:
Session Management: Experimented with the Claude Code desktop interface, testing multi-session handling to run parallel background tasks without context collisions.
Custom Mods in TypeScript: Prototyped tool modifications using TypeScript to intercept, filter, and adapt tool invocation behavior locally.
Cost & Performance Auditing: Ran test benches on cost-tracking utilities (
prompt-audit) and evaluated plugin performance directly against the API to monitor token spend and prompt efficiency.
